Signature PickDiani Morning Experience Birdsong & Breakfast
Begin your morning with shared pickup within Diani and travel to Kongo River, where a local canoe and your coastal morning await. Glide through calm mangrove waters in the soft morning sun, watching for herons and other birdlife while your local guide helps you understand the river, mangroves and surrounding ecosystem. After the canoe ride, step ashore and stroll through the village. Meet a local family that keeps birds and learn about the birds they care for and raise, giving you an opportunity to experience local village life beyond the usual tourist route. Continue to a Digo homestead, where you will sit on woven mikeka and enjoy breakfast the Swahili way: unhurried, communal and close to the ground. A typical breakfast may include mbaazi with coconut beans, fresh chapati, golden mahamri, spiced black tea and fresh coconut. After breakfast, stroll back to the canoe and ride through the mangroves toward Diani in the warm morning light. Assisted photography is included so you can leave with more than memories. The experience ends with shared drop-off within Diani. Birdsong & Breakfast brings together mangrove scenery, birdlife, village life, Digo culture and Swahili hospitality in one relaxed coastal morning.

Some ocean days are meant to be unhurried. Ocean Freedom Day takes you from Diani to the turquoise waters of Kisite-Mpunguti Marine Park for a privately coordinated day of dolphin spotting, guided snorkelling, relaxed boat time and coastal dining. Your private transfer, boat, marine guide, park fees and lunch are arranged in advance. The schedule remains flexible around the tides, sea conditions and your preferred pace - giving you enough structure to enjoy the experience without turning the day into a checklist. From the journey to Shimoni to your return to Diani, Putu handles the movement and coordination so you can concentrate on the ocean.
